Santa Alina Farm, owned by the Da Silva Dias family since 1907, spans 895 hectares, with 239 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation. The farm produces various coffee varieties, including Bourbon, Catuai, Geisha, and others. In 2010, Lucia Maria Da Silva Dias and family business partner Rodrigo Fernandes took over the farm’s operation, focusing on producing high-quality micro-lots and improving the local community’s living standards.

They upgraded processing infrastructure, including new terraces for better moisture management during drying and a fully equipped coffee lab for improved processing. Lucia Maria has implemented a bottom-up management style, involving workers in decision-making. The farm is committed to employee development through educational courses, housing, and social events.

Santa Alina is also environmentally conscious, having installed solar panels and participated in a tree-planting project. Coffee cherries are harvested both manually and mechanically, then processed using wet and pulped natural methods. Cherries are dried on patios before being transferred to dryers to reach the desired humidity level.
